Nathan Bower has been repairing and restoring clocks of all makes and models for more than a decade. Nathan's experiences repairing clocks have left him disappointed in the lack of quality in recently produced clocks. Desiring clockmaking to be restored to an era of artistic craftsmanship, Nathan began to study the practices of true horologists.
Nathan is first and foremost an artist who has been captured by the great beauty and mystery found within the inter workings of clocks. Using clockmaking's finest concepts, Nathan started creating movements that are skeletonized, or exposed, revealing the clock's hypnotic motion. These clocks are exceptionally crafted on every level in the tradition and technique of clocks made centuries ago. Nathan's timepieces are not merely clocks but masterful, functional works of art that will last for many generations.
The works of the Jendolyn floor clock were made by Nathan Bower. The curly maple and rosewood case, designed by Nathan, was brilliantly constructed by furniture maker Joe Buteyn.
